Services
The ViribusFarm.com rendering farm is used to rent hardware for the purposes of the rendering process. That is, after providing (by customer) a source file from a 3D modeling tool, input files (textures) and the appropriate payment, the rendering farm servers calculate (render) the resulting image or animation.
The ViribusFarm.com rendering farm provides processing of files created in Blender software – www.blender.org – in currently supported versions.
To use the services of the ViribusFarm.com rendering farm, it is necessary to have prepaid server usage time (purchased credits) - the customer can use all services only after their prepayment. Prepayment means purchasing credits at the price valid in the price list. The customer can then use the credits to purchase services.
Options:
submit an operational request for the rendering process and wait for it to be processed. In this case, the request will be processed in order according to the set priority, the number of days (during which it is open), the date the request was sent, and the processing status of other requests. The number of credits corresponding to the set priority and processing time will be deducted for the request processed in this way.
rent hardware for a specified period of time – for whole days, always from midnight to midnight – according to the CET (Central European Time) time zone. In this case, the rented hardware is available exclusively to the customer who rented it. In this case, it is also necessary to enter processing requests, but the rented servers will only process the customer's requests – exclusively on the rented hardware. The rental request must be entered at least 24 hours in advance. The price for the rented hardware is determined by the current price list and depends on the number of days of rental and the number of servers that the customer rents. The rental can be interrupted at any time (as of the nearest midnight). In that case, the customer will be charged the number of credits according to the actual duration of the rental plus a cancellation fee for each server (the cancellation fee is the same as a one-day rental). The fee for the rented servers will be charged whether the customer uses them during the rental period or not.
Beta testing
The ViribusFarm.com rendering farm services are currently in beta testing. This means that the service may not be provided flawlessly and serious issues or errors may occur.
The interested party in providing the service may participate in the testing, while acknowledging that the service provided may not be error-free. During the beta testing phase, the services are partially exempt from fees - each interested party in testing will be regularly credited with a "test" credit (without the obligation to pay) - for the purpose of launching operational rendering processes. A watermark will not be added to the output files. The rental of the entire server(s) for exclusive use by one interested party/customer during the beta testing is charged according to the current price list (this service is not exempt from payment) and can only be used by mutual agreement.
A person interested in testing is allowed to create only one registration. In case of excessive use of the farm services (during the testing phase), the operator is entitled to verify the registrations - by telephone conversation or video call. A user who refuses to cooperate in the verification process may have their account canceled (with immediate effect) - without compensation.
The interested party in testing undertakes to immediately inform the service provider (render farm operator) about detected errors (via contact e-mail or contact form). The interested party acknowledges the service provider's right to analyze input files (provided / uploaded by the customer) - solely for the purpose of: 1) revealing an error or problem 2) expanding the farm's services.
Prices
The currently valid price list is published on the rendering farm's website. The price (for the respective priority) is set per 1 GHz hour (for CPU), excluding VAT.
1 GHz hour means using 1 GHz frequency of one CPU core for one hour. If 32 cores of a processor with a clock speed of 3 GHz are used for one hour, the price will be 96 times the base price (32 x 3). Increasing the priority of the task also increases the price per GHz hour - according to the currently valid price list. When rendering using the CPU, as many cores as necessary are used - one or more cores can be used - it depends on the settings of the rendering process parameters.
The price for a GPU rendering process is set for the use of one processor (GPU) per hour. Only the entire GPU can be used. It is not possible to use only a part of the GPU's computing capacity.
The current price list sets a minimum amount that the customer will be charged for the rendering process. It will apply if the rendering process is too short and the fee for its execution would be lower than the minimum amount.
Exclusive server rental
When renting servers exclusively, it is possible to rent the entire server from midnight to midnight (according to the UTC time zone). The fee for exclusive rental as well as the technical specifications of the servers are listed on the website.
Exclusive server rental is not possible if the servers are rented by another customer at the requested time.
Registration, password, 2FA
A customer who wants to use the services of the ViribusFarm.com rendering farm is required to register via the web interface - by filling out and submitting the registration form and then confirming access to the email inbox.
When registering, the user must choose a password. The service provider will not impose any rules on customers for creating passwords in any way. It is up to the customer to decide how strong a password they choose.
The service provider assumes no responsibility for misuse of the login name and password - if they are leaked by the customer (by disclosure - whether intentional or negligent; by guessing or other "breaking" by an unauthorized person).
Spoločnosť odporúča užívateľom využívať 2FA - druhostupňpvé overenie identity.
Groups
Users (customers) have the option of creating so-called groups. This is to allow access to rendering tasks within a group of users. Users who belong to the same group can see each other's rendering tasks, can see the results of rendering processes, and (if they have the appropriate permissions) can modify the rendering task (change priority, stop the rendering process, resume the rendering process).
A user (customer) can only be a member of one group.
It is entirely up to the user to decide who to invite to the group / which group to join. The service provider does not control or interfere in the process of creating / managing groups in any way. The service provider is not responsible for the misuse of the user's outputs - if another group member misuses the access that was provided / enabled to him by the injured party.
Prepaid of services
To use the rendering farm services, it is necessary to prepay the farm services (after the testing phase). The prepay the services consists of purchasing a certain number of credits, which the customer can then use.
The customer can use the option of adding an initial (test) credit once. However, this is only used to test the services and when using it, the services will be limited. For example, the output file will contain visible watermarks, the size limit of the input and output files is smaller, the time limit for processing (rendering process) is shorter. The time interval for storing input and output files is also shorter. (These restrictions do not apply during the test phase).
Output of rendering process
Through the web interface, it is possible to monitor the status of submitted requests, or cancel them, as well as download processed outputs (images/animations).
The quality of the output depends on the inputs provided by the customer – the scene created in the 3D tool and the quality of the input textures.
The service provider will not interfere with the provided input files in any way - neither before, during, nor after the rendering process.
The quality of the output therefore depends entirely on the files provided by the customer.
File retention period
The service provider stores output (or input) files unless:
1 year period has passed since the request was submitted
100 GB limit per customer exceeded
If the period of 1 year from the submission of the request is exceeded, the output as well as the input files may be deleted.
If the 100 GB limit of stored files is exceeded, the files may be deleted.
The deletion will be done from oldest files to newest, input files (source files and textures) first - until the total file size is less than 100 GB.
If you use the option to add an introductory credit, the file retention period is set at 30 days and the size is 20 GB.
Insufficient credit
If during the rendering process a situation occurs where the customer does not have enough credits to continue, the rendering process will stop. The intermediate result will be available to the customer. If the customer wants to complete the rendering process, they will have to prepay additional time and confirm the request to render the output.
Number of open render tasks
A maximum of 25 requests can be open at any one time. The system will not allow the customer to create another request until at least one of their requests has been processed, or until they cancel an open one.
When using the introductory credit option, the number of maximum open requests is set to 2.
Task priority
When submitting a task for the rendering process, it is possible to choose a priority – in ten possible levels. The customer can increase or decrease the priority of the task even after sending it (via the web interface) – until its processing begins. Once processing has begun, it is not possible to change the priority of the task.
The higher the number, the higher the priority. The higher the priority, the sooner the job will be processed - even if the request was submitted later. If two (or more) requests have the same priority, the order determines the date and time the rendering job is submitted.
For every hour that a job waits to be processed (rendered), one priority level will be added to the job (at no additional charge). This means that if a render job was set to priority 7 when submitted and waits for more than 4 hours, it will have priority 3. The rendering process will be priced at priority 7.
Changing the order of task processing is only possible by changing the priority.
There is no way for a customer to prioritize their task over other customers' ongoing (processing) tasks. Once a task has been started, the only person who can interrupt it is the customer who submitted it (or a member of the group with the appropriate permissions). Other customers must wait for it to be processed. Setting the highest priority does not result in prioritizing the request over other ongoing (processing) tasks.
The priority of requests for exclusively leased hardware also determines the order in which requests are processed – but only the requests of a specific customer (specific group) are taken into account.
Interrupting the rendering process
The rendering process can be interrupted. Both while the task is waiting for processing and while the rendering process is already running. If the task is interrupted while it is waiting for processing, the customer is not charged any fee. If the job is interrupted during processing (rendering), the actual time consumed will be charged - and partially processed output files will be available.
An interrupted rendering task can be resumed - it can be marked to continue (via the web interface). If the task has already been partially processed, the process continues where it left off - the part that has already been processed is not processed again.
Rendering in parts (tile rendering)
A render farm can process (render) the output in parts (tiles). The size of these parts is specified in the source file. In the following text, one such part is referred to as a tile. For more information about tiles, see the link: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/cycles/render_settings/performance.html
Setting the appropriate tile size with regard to the complexity of the scene is at the customer's discretion. The calculation of one tile in the resulting image / animation frame must not take longer than 24 hours. If the calculation takes longer than 24 hours, the calculation process will be automatically stopped - without compensation and further tiles will not be calculated (rendered). If the customer expects the rendering process to exceed the specified time limit, it is necessary to inform the render farm operator in advance via contact email - preferably more than 24 hours before sending such a request for the rendering process.
When using the introductory credit, the time limit for one tile is set to 60 minutes.
User responsibilities
The user (customer) is authorized to upload only the correct source file of the supported 3D software and correct input files (textures). We allow the user to run scripts - e.g. for generating random objects (into the 3D scene), modifying existing objects (in the 3D scene), etc. It is explicitly prohibited to upload / attempt to run automated scripts in order to obtain: 1) unauthorized access 2) outputs of other customers 3) information from the farm system (to which the customer is not authorized). It is also prohibited to attempt to penetrate the rendering farm system in any unauthorized / unauthorized way. In case of an attempt to abuse the rendering farm services, the service provider reserves the right to block the customer's user account / access from a specific IP address - until an agreement is reached and the dispute is settled. In case of a gross violation of the terms of use, the service provider reserves the right to cancel the customer account / permanently block access from a specific IP address - without any compensation.
Definition of liability
The provider will not comment on issues related to a rendering job that has already been deleted.
The service provider reserves the right to block the use of services when using nodes from such a darknet.
The service provider does not guarantee delivery of the service at a specific time (as expected by the customer).
If it is not possible to complete the rendering process due to a hardware or software error on the service provider's side, the customer will not be charged for this service - they will be credited back with the credit spent for this service.
In the case of exclusive hardware rental and the inability to deliver the result due to hardware or software failure, the rental will be extended by the time the rendering process took (from the time the request was submitted to the time of failure).
In the case of ongoing calculation of the request after the end of the exclusive lease, the additional calculation time required is charged according to the current price list (according to priority 10). If there is a shortage of credits, the processing of the request is interrupted and it is necessary to increase the number of credits and confirm the request for completion.
The service provider does not assume responsibility for any damages caused to the customer due to the undelivered service. It also does not assume responsibility for the "late" delivery of the service.
The service provider does not guarantee the start of processing the task within a certain time. The only exception is the exclusive rental of hardware for a certain period of time.
Purchased credits cannot be exchanged for money or any goods.
The service provider will not provide personal or any other customer data to third parties.
The service provider may use the outputs from the customer's processing (rendering process) for its own promotion only with the customer's express prior consent.
